In art this term we have been looking at the work of Guiseppe Arcimboldo. The children were fascinated by the way in which he used fruit to create portraits and worked really hard over a period of two days to create nothing short of masterpieces. Originally we had planned to draw the fruit and cut it out to place upon their face that they were going to draw. But the children had taken so much time and care with their initial picture that most chose to preseve their initial piece and create their protrait from scratch. Still taking as much time and care with their second piece in order to create a beautiful self portrait. We really are proud of their achievements and are planning to create an art gallery of their work.
