Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day

This week we have been busy learning about Remembrance Day and why we wear poppies to remember those who have given their lives in battle. We looked through books, videos and images from WW1 and discussed what we read and saw. The children were very empathic and spoke very highly of all those involved in the war.

During our Remembrance afternoon, we made individual poppies, a poppy wreath, drew soldiers and wrote nouns and adjectives around the edge and made books explaining Remembrance Day.
