Term 6

Wow! How is it the last term already? This year has flown by! We’ve had another amazing term in Fir Class… but a VERY busy one! We’ve been up to so much this term and we’ve loved every minute of the exciting learning, experiences and trips.

Firstly, we celebrated World Ocean Day, we learnt lots about how we can keep our oceans clean and tidy and carried out research, completed beautiful art, went litter picking, read books and lots more!
We did lots of transitional visits to the Juniors including sports day skills, rounders and benchball. It was great fun and the children all had a brilliant time!
We had Number Day! We all loved playing Maths games all day long and sharing them with our friends. Lots of us played games that we’d never played before. It was great fun!
We got lost in our imagination with Fables and Fairies- it was so much fun to enter a new fantasy world and enjoy these memories with our friends.
We had a very enjoyable Tinkering Tuesday where we had to transport water across an obstacle course. Some obstacles were so tricky but no one ever gave up and there was amazing teamwork throughout all groups!
We had the best time EVER at Barton Camp and made lifelong memories! We still are on the hunt for Barton Bear…!
Sports Day was a great event and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! All our hard work for our P.E. sessions paid off as everyone was an amazing athlete and tried their best in every single activity. We even got our adults involved too!
We enjoyed learning about the Olympics in preparation for the end of July. We loved researching, creating artwork and memorabilia, making new games and events and attempting the high jump, archery and fencing!
We pushed ourselves to the limit and faced our fears on the climbing wall. So many friends made it to the top of the climbing wall which is a great achievement!

Thank you for an amazing term 6, Fir Class!
