Broomhill Infant School

Term 3 week 7 – Geographers

February 18, 2022

Having looked at Broomhill and the places near our school, we ended the term by looking at the city of Bristol. This will lead us into our work on Brunel next term and our visit to the SS Great Britain.

The children looked at places in Bristol, before drawing and making models of them. We used blue card to create a giant river Avon flowing through Bristol and then mapped out our city using our artistic creations. Seeing the city on a large map helped the children piece together the places that they knew.

Also in the video this week are pictures of the children practising the skill of throwing accurately.

Have a wonderful half term everyone and see you in Term 4!
