Term 4 Week 3 – Thinking like Scientists

March 18, 2022

This week we have been thinking like scientists and closely observing the world around us. We planted beans and onions in our out door environment. We used spades and trowels to gather the soil ourselves and wheel it back to Holly Class. We thought about what plants need to grow and tried to provide them with everything they require.

We introduced our new story ‘Lost and Found’ this week. We came in to find that the penguin from the story had visited Holly Class but had got lost! Luckily, they left us some clues for us to follow. We found them in our outdoor environment, tucked away at the bottom of a tree.

In maths, we have been consolidating our numbers to 50. We have been using the symbols of <, > and = to compare quantities and have been thinking about different ways that we can represent numbers.
