Term 4 Week 5 – A Week Packed With Learning

April 1, 2022

We’ve done a wide range of learning this week. In English, we innovated ‘Lost and Found’ and wrote our stories in our Special Writing book. Our stories featured a wide range of lost characters such as ghosts, unicorns and flamingos!

In maths, we’ve started using rulers. We discussed how the Ancient Egyptians used to measure in cubits. We compared our arm lengths and discussed how this might be problematic when it comes to measuring. Since then, we’ve been busy measuring almost everything in our environment!

Following on from our previous learning about plants, we have been thinking about how we could explain to others how they could also do some planting. We wrote instructions for other people, then chose a seed to plant in our own pots. We have also been historians this week. We observed how different modes of transport have changed over the last 100 years. We then made models or drew our favourite ones.
