Remembrance Day

November 16, 2021

Last week we spent some time thinking about Remembrance Day and why it is important.
We watched videos, and read books and stories about World War I and II and added the start and end dates of these to our history timeline.
We drew pictures of soldiers, animals, nurses and lots of other people who helped during the war and wrote some words to describe them such as ‘brave’, ‘proud’ and ‘courageous’.
We created our own poppies to add to our class display and to our remembrance wreath.

We also recapped our colour mixing skills by creating some firework pictures that contained secondary and tertiary colours and were all very pleased with the end result. Have a look!
