What a week! We started with a Wow day, during which the children learnt all about Isambard Kingdom Brunel. They talked about Brunel and when he lived, discussed his clothing, learnt about the Bristol landmarks that he designed and took part in a bridge designing competition; Just like the man himself!

On Thursday, it was World Book Day. The children loved dressing up and exploring book characters by making wooden spoon puppets. This week we created our own Maple class story ‘The Astronaut and the brave fairy’.

On Friday, we went for our ‘Big Winter Wander’. Two weeks later than planned due to the storms. Children from Reception to Year 2 completed a fantastic walk around Eastwood Farm. We noticed that our ‘Big Winter Wander’ was looking more like a ‘Spring step’. Watch the video to see lots of photos and hear the song that we have been learning this week…
